Dr Praveen Athota
Dr. Praveen Athota is the founder and the Principal GP of Gheringhap Medical Centre & Skin Clinic and nuGEN Medical & Aesthetics , an enthusiastic and dedicated professional with a real passion for working in Primary Care, enjoying the diversity, unique relationships and challenge of dealing with the unknown.
He keeps abreast of the latest clinical evidence, which enables him to strive to provide the finest holistic healthcare to his patients, and it also motivates him to develop innovative services for the future.
He has been in General practice for over19 years in the UK and Australia. Trained in Advanced Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery and certified in Dermoscopy; an accredited skin cancer doctor for SCCA and with over 17 years of dermatology cumulative experience in the UK and Australia. He provides comprehensive skin checks with diagnosis and treatment of non-melanocytic and melanocytic skin cancers. He has also attained his certification in Family Planning and Vasectomy. He has recently started his own Medical Aesthetics Clinic with the support of Dermal Clinicians and nurses.
His passion extends beyond practicing medicine. He has in total 16 years teaching experience since his practice days in the UK ranging from GP registrars, pharmacists and undergraduate medical students training from Bond, Griffith and Melbourne universities and also involved with supervision of a non-VR GPs with regular work-based reviews, teachings and examination preparation.
